Description
The Miscanthus variety includes many of our best-loved ornamental grasses. Ornamental grasses make the garden a little wilder and a little more playful with their long, sinuous leaves and many different shapes. Many of the low-growing varieties blend seamlessly with the perennials in the border, making it full and dense. The taller ones make a dramatic impression as solitaires. Miskantus has magnificent, large and fluffy lashes that shimmer in different shades. Throughout the fall and winter, the rockeries are just as beautiful. Even in snow and cold, when the garden is otherwise rather lifeless. ‘Malepartus’ is one of the largest varieties and likes to stand alone with plenty of space around it to best enjoy its splendor. The fronds are a little smaller compared to other ornamental grasses, but it makes up for it with impressively fluffy foliage. For practical reasons, depending on the season, the plant may be cut down on delivery. This has no negative impact on the plant, which grows back quickly after planting. The picture shows the plant as fully grown and established.
