The fruits are shaped like icicles and are 15-18 cm long. The color is first white-green, but as the fruits ripen the color changes to deep red. Grown outdoors in a foil tunnel or in a greenhouse.
Transplant first in the open air at the end of May. Harden off before transplanting. Requires a warm, sunny and wind-protected location. Thrives in well-drained, warm and humus-rich soil. Keep the soil moist after sowing until germination has started. Does not tolerate standing water.
