Beautifully blue-flowered culinary herb with silver green, slightly hairy, aromatic leaves. The leaves are used fresh or dried for fowl, pork, lamb or cabbage dishes. Small, evergreen bush that might need to be covered in winter to survive. Attracts a lot bees and other pollinating insects. Harvest gradually, by cutting off whole stems for drying before the plant blooms. Hang upside down to dry. Thrives in loose soil, tolerates some drought and infertile soils.
