The beetroot hullahoop is a nice mix of beets in yellow, white, red and polka dot stripes. Delicious to eat fresh from their own gardens, or lightly cooked with a little butter. The delicate leaves are used like lettuce. Sowing: May onwards. Soak the seeds a few hours before sowing and they will germinate faster. Start thinning early. Use nitrogen fertilizer sparingly.
