A beautiful addition to the salad bowl. Lovely, mild flavor. The stem is long and the plant is winter hardy. Both stem and top can be used. If sown late (August), the bulb can be overwintered for early harvest in the spring (mid-May). May require winter cover to overwinter. Place in sun to partial shade. Keep the soil moist after sowing until germination has started. Requires an even moisture and sandy, humus-rich soil.
