Red Malabar spinach is a climbing leafy vegetable that is beautiful and decorative with its red stems and dark green leaves. Sow a seed/pot and germinate at 25°C. Pick leaves as you go or harvest the whole plant when it is just over a meter high. Save about 20 cm of the stem and a few leaf folds and it will grow back. Great in cooking, both the leaves and stems can be used like spinach. Also good in gratins and a few leaves in a stew will save it. May take time to germinate.
