Turnip Willhelmsburger is a very useful cabbage plant. Good for stews, gratins, wok and of course mashed potatoes. Very nutritious. Start harvesting about 3 months after sowing. Cabbage roots for winter storage are sown late and harvested in October. Thrives in a moisture retentive and well-drained soil. Water regularly. Thin early to avoid crowding the plants.
