Pea Alexandra is an early variety prized for its delicious green peas. One tub contains about 10 peas. The plants are medium height - 60 cm high. Can be grown without support as the plants are self-supporting. Suitable for fresh consumption or freezing. Mature pods should be picked: peas that are not overripe are the tastiest. The pods mature 12 days after they emerge. It is very important that the bed where the peas will be sown is free of weeds. Peas should be sown as early as possible. To ensure a long harvest, mature plants should be watered sufficiently. Prefers sunny location, well-cultivated, loamy or sandy soil rich in humus, permeable to water and air.
