Blooms the second year after sowing in spring and again in fall. Gets many flowers reminiscent of stepmother violets. Ideal for pots, window boxes, rock gardens, flower beds or as a border plant. Thrives in sun to partial shade in well-drained, humus- and nutrient-rich soil. Keep the soil moist after sowing until germination has started. It is important that the seeds are not sown deeper than indicated at the bottom of the bag. If they are sown too deeply, this can lead to sub-optimal germination.
