Easy to grow, perennial culinary herb with broad leaves with a nice aroma and a mild taste of onion. The leaves are used fresh in salads, for pickled herring, egg dishes, new potatoes etc. They can also be frozen. Do not let the plant bloom or growth will be inhibited. Sow in October for an earlier germination the following spring. Thrives in alkaline, humus rich soils, but not a demanding plant.
