Everything you need for your cultivation
Like the bhut jolokia, the red chili originates from northeastern India and Bangladesh. It is a regional variant of the bhut jolokia chili and is very similar in terms of shape, appearance, taste and spiciness. We could hardly find any differences between the former world record holder and our test varieties. However, the Naga morich red chili carries significantly more chili pepper than the bhut jolokia and these are slightly smaller in size.
The bright red fruits are elongated and have an uneven surface. If grown under optimal conditions, the variety can achieve a Scoville value of 1 million heat units. As they grow, they require a lot of heat, while peppers have a very long ripening period, meaning that there can be around 160 days between planting the seeds and harvesting the fruit.
