The Fatalii variety belongs to the Capsicum chinense family, which also produces habanero chillies and many of the hottest chilli types in the world. It originates from Central Africa and it is believed that it was brought over and cultivated by slaves returning from the Caribbean.

The peppers grow on bushes up to 100 cm high and have the typical pointed shape of this variety. These peppers ripen from green to red and become 6-8 cm long and about 3 cm in diameter. Unlike other members of this chili family, the spicy heat of fatalii chili immediately hits you with a powerful kick that lasts a long time. Plus, you get a distinct, rich fruity flavor that makes fatalii chili the perfect ingredient for delicious salsas with exotic fruits and sauces.
