7 pod chili (also known as 7 pot chili) are some of the hottest chilies in the world and on the same high level as bhut jolokia or Trinidad Scorpion. It gets its name from the idea that just one pepper is enough to season 7 full pans (tubs).

7 Pot Chaguanas Red Chili is a 7-pot variety from Trinidad (especially the village of Chaguanas), whose pods are slightly longer and more irregularly shaped than the original 7-pot. However, they have the same fine, fruity aroma and extremely fiery sharpness, some say it is even hotter than the original 7 Pot. You should always wear disposable gloves when handling these chilies.
