An oblong beetroot suitable for storing. Provides a bountiful harvest of all red beets without "rings". Excellent for slicing and pickling thanks to its oblong shape. The young leaves can be used like Swiss chards. Don't sow too early! The plants will bloom if exposed to frost, providing no harvest. Thrives in fertile, humus-rich and water-retaining soil. Thin out early. Loosen soil around plants. Fertilize with potassium-rich fertilizers.
