Perennial plant that flowers in early spring in flower beds. Cut flowers are arranged in bouquets. Plants are combined with other spring flowering plants in flower beds. Growing in small groups of 5-10 onion tubers looks best. The ideal growing location is sunny or semi-shady flower beds protected from winds. They thrive in humic, loamy, rich soil with neutral acidity (ph 6.5-7.5). Tulips require growable layer at least 30 cm deep to absorb moisture well, to be loose and air permeable. Digging out tulip bulbs every two years is recommended. If not replanted, tulips tend to have smaller flowers or stop flowering altogether.
