The Siberian house pepper originates from Siberia and is relatively easy to grow in our part of the world. It has been bred specifically for the windowsill over a relatively short growing period, and is a fast-growing variety that does well in relatively low light. It is therefore very suitable for newcomers to chilli growing. The plants remain relatively small and are good for growing in pots. The white flowers with blue stamens are particularly striking. From them develop many small, pointed chili fruits that ripen from green to red. They have a powerful spiciness and a sweet and fruity pepper flavor. They can be used for making sauces, for cooking and for drying.
