Finely ribbed, light green fruits related to the melon.
Produces up to 70 cm long, juicy and crunchy fruits, which are initially hairy. If harvested early, the fruit tastes like cucumber, but if harvested later, the taste is sweet and more like melon. The best results are achieved by growing in a greenhouse. The plant is tied up and watered with warm water. Thrives in a sunny position in a sheltered growing area in humus and nutrient rich soil. Keep the soil moist after sowing until germination has started.
