Perfect for a large free-growing hedge, Schersminen has an upright, rounded habit with green leaves and is covered in single, fragrant white flowers in June. The height is 2-3m and as wide as full grown. It thrives in most soils and prefers a light position but can tolerate partial shade. Pruning is carried out in spring winter by thinning old branches down to the base. Durable and easy to maintain. The season for bare root hedges is from March to about midsummer and October to December. Bare-root hedge plants should not be planted during the summer when the weather is too hot and sunny and they will not be able to establish themselves. If you want to plant during the summer, choose a potted hedge instead. Note that the pictures are of fully grown specimens.
