Turnip Golden Ball is a delicate, fast-growing cabbage plant that is used in the same way as turnips or eaten fresh like radish. The variety produces round-flat round tubers with a sweet taste. Should be sown in batches to always have tender and fine turnips. Thrives on most soils, preferably clay. Like all cabbage plants, it needs plenty of fertilizer and water. Cover with fiber cloth to avoid cabbage fly infestation. Harvest late and tender tubers, 'old' ones become woody and sharp in flavor.
